Double Smoked Bacon and Cranberry Stuffing
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
½ cup butter
2 cups diced onion
2 cups diced celery
3 tbsp. summer savory (Farmer John’s)
2 cups turkey or chicken broth (Holdanka Farm free range turkeys)
1 lbs. double smoke bacon bites (Pork Shop)
14 oz. can cranberries
2 loaves day old country style bread cubed (Country Bread Basket)
Salt pepper to taste
 
 
Melt butter in a large frying pan; sauté onion, celery and summer savory for 4 to 5 minutes. Add turkey broth simmer for 3 minutes. 
 
In a frying pan sauté the Double Smoked bacon till nice and brown for about 6 to 8 minutes, they are already precooked so you are just crisping them up to add to your dressing.
 
Place the bread in a large bowl then pour broth mixture over bread and mix until liquid is absorbed, add the cranberries, bacon and mix well. Place mixture in a greased 9X13 pan, and bake at 325°F for 40 to 45 minutes.
